Sesame Roasting Unit

The roasting arrangement consists of 6 units stacked in groups of 3. Sesame enters through the inlet of the top roasting unit in the first group of 3.

As helical flights move the product forward, adjustable steam supplied to the roll-bond heating jackets enables controlled roasting at each stage.

After the first unit, sesame transfers to the second and continues roasting while moving in the opposite direction.

Sesame then enters the final stage of the three-unit group and continues roasting, again moving in the opposite direction to the preceding unit.

A transfer elevator moves sesame to the fourth unit in the lower group.

As in the first group, sesame progresses through the fifth and sixth units, leaving the sixth unit fully roasted. The system operates continuously in this manner.

Product enters the system and is conveyed by helical flights that both mix it and push it forward. At the end of each tray, the product passes to the next level. After descending two levels, a transfer elevator carries it to the lowest level.

Roll-bond heating jackets provide heat, with each jacket's temperature independently adjustable. After roasting, the product is directed to the cooling unit.
