Sesame Processing, Tahini and Halva Production Line

Processed sesame is widely used in bakery products. Different processing methods turn sesame into tahini, which can then be processed further to produce halva.

SESAME PROCESSING LINE:

Sesame processing is divided into white sesame and simit sesame applications.

White Sesame Processing: Commonly selected for bakery applications. Raw sesame is dry-dehulled, screened to remove remaining bran, treated in brine, rinsed and then dried. If tahini production is required, roasting systems are added after drying, taking the prepared sesame into the tahini process. White sesame processing is the method we manufacture most frequently and the one most in demand.

Simit Sesame Processing: Used mainly for simit bread. Sesame leaving the pre-drying stage of the white sesame process is mixed with fruit molasses in open vessels. Simit sesame is not used to produce tahini.

TAHINI PRODUCTION LINE:

Tahini is a sesame paste widely consumed in the Middle East. Sesame from the white sesame line is rinsed, dried and roasted, then passed through a stone or colloid mill. This production line is commonly chosen by tahini and hummus producers. Tahini production requires either a processed sesame supplier or a sesame processing line. Producing halva from tahini requires an additional halva production line.

HALVA PRODUCTION LINE:

Halva is a sweet widely consumed in the Middle East and enjoyed in many other parts of the world. Ingredients such as soapwort, sugar and tahini are combined according to a recipe and processed by machine or by hand. In our company's and producers' experience, hand kneading has a stronger influence on flavour than machine production. We manufacture only halva lines with hand kneading.
